Positions at Port included: Director of Marina & Airport, Director of Marketing & Public Relations, Director of Administration & Communication and Director of Real Estate & Community Development. Chamber of Commerce Board Representative, Northwest Marine Terminal Association Trustee, Anacortes Youth Sailing Program, South Harbor Park Advisory Board, Waterfront Festival Chair and Seafarers’ Memorial Committee Chair.
Advocating for youth is a core value for Kathy and her husband Russ, long-time volunteers to the Anacortes School District, Anacortes Parks & Recreation Department and a variety of youth sports. Kathy and her husband also led an adoption/foster ministry for 15 years. Kathy is proud to have been the Chair for the successful Yes 4 Safety campaign in 2023, advocating for fire and police personnel and presently serves on the Northwest Career & Technical Academy General Advisory Committee.
